Jersey's Social Security Minister, Deputy Susie Pinel, has today launched a new long term review of the Social Security fund which includes a three year timetable of reporting and consultation with the aim of shaping the Social Security scheme over the next 30 years.

The review is likely to look closely at the move towards compulsory occupational pension provision and auto enrolement in the UK and the secondary pension scheme being established in Guernsey.

The initial overview document and timetable can be downloaded using the button below and the initial consultation survey can be found on the States Website.

Life interest underwriting

We are pleased to announce that First Actuary is now able to provide medical underwriting  within its life interest valuation service.

Life interest valuations will now include a preliminary health declaration reviewed by an independent underwriter, at no extra cost, within the standard service.

Should the preliminary declaration indicate further specific underwriting is required First Actuary can refer clients to an independent underwriting consultant for a more complete  assessment, the outcome of which can be used for a more accurate valuation where the life has specific medical issues.
